Waterford Rotary may be a small club but we do big things in the Waterford community and the International community as well.
 
What: United worldwide to help build goodwill and peace in the world Who: Business and Professional persons who live or work in Waterford When: Weekly for lunch-Mondays at 12:15pm Where: At Filomena's Restaurant in Waterford Why:To provide worldwide community service Our first major project was the Gazebo in 1978 We have been selling roses in the fall since 1980 1989-1996 we built "ramps for the handicap" 1990 we built the "Welcome to Waterford" signs. We developed the Rotary Field near Millstone Dinner at the Community Meal Center once a month since 1995 We did the flag poles at Leary Park and Millstone's Mago Point Park 1995 initiated the funding for playgrounds at each of the 5 elementary schools Each year we give Scholarships at Waterford High and Grasso Tech World Language Award at Waterford High every June Student of the Year Awards every year in May Dictionary Project to all Third Graders in Waterford every year! Career Day at Clark Lane Middle School every year We have an Annual Blood Drive with the American Red Cross Reading Garden and picnic tables for Students at Waterford Country School 2001-2003 2003 Exchange student sent to Japan Ambassadorial Scholar Sent a student to Bolivia To celebrate Rotary Centennial in 2005 we erected a sign at Stenger Farm Park letting people know the history and the trails. Purchased equipment and a stove for a Daycare Center in Brazil in 2006 2008 joined with Student Council at Clark Lane to send school supplies to the students in Afghanistan 3 year project to send medical supplies to a clinic in Zambia Africa completed in April '08 In 2009 we donated to the signage at the Waterford Dog Park In 2010 we have adopted a highway portion of Route 1 in town We were founded in 1973 for a small club of about 30 members we are very busy and we do good things in our Community and in the International communities as well.
